Pre-School - PreK Program
Our Pre-School and Pre-K classes have a child-centered, play-based philosophy. We follow curriculum published by Scholastic specifically designed for three and four-year olds. It is based on the fact that children learn most easily when the learning is "hands-on." The learning plan provides explicit instruction in early language, reading, and math skills and combines child-centered explorations with teacher-directed instruction. Learning by doing makes learning fun and memorable and helps children look forward to attending school. Our teachers promote an environment which fosters the individual child's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive skills. This in turn helps the children learn to manage themselves and gives them "ownership" of the class and pride in their individual and group accomplishments.
